Emily Benack

Manager, Government Affairs

As Manager of Government Affairs, Emily Benack supports RILA’s advocacy efforts in Congress and the administration. She concentrates on policies affecting the retail industry’s diverse workforce communities, such as skills training and childcare policy. She also helps to maintain RILA’s Retail Talent Committee, Labor and Employment Committee, Talent Leadership Council and Labor Steering Committee, facilitating virtual and in-person meetings with member companies’ human resources executives and industry and policy experts.

Prior to joining the RILA team, Emily spent a year as an intern with Tyson Foods in their global government affairs office. She holds a B.A. in communications from The George Washington University, where she dual-minored in political science and American studies and focused her independent research on consumer rhetoric surrounding dietary choices.
