Today, the Retail Industry Leaders Association, the trade association for today's most recognized and innovative retail brands, said Senate passage of the 2018 budget resolution was an important next step towards comprehensive tax reform:
"By passing the budget for 2018, the Senate has taken us one very important step closer to tax reform. Retailers have long been committed to reform that lowers rates and puts more money back into the wallets of American families. Our country needs a tax code that makes us more competitive globally and more prosperous at home. RILA and our membership will continue our work with Congress and the Administration to support reform that benefits retail and our customers," said Jennifer Safavian, executive vice president of government affairs for RILA.
