Conference Kickoff & Welcome Remarks
With our first ever sold-out crowd at the conference, it was a packed house this afternoon as RILA General Counsel and RLC President Deborah White welcomed attendees to Music City and promised an exciting two days networking and education with industry peers.

In a timely and captivating opening keynote, RILA COO Brian Dodge moderated an all-star panel on the role of retail corporate counsel as catalysts for change and the business case for building diversity and inclusion efforts. Panelists included:
- Caroline Wanga, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Vice President, Human Resources, Target
- James Hanlon, General Counsel & Company Secretary, IKEA
- Leila Hock, Senior Manager, Legal Department Partnerships & Inclusion Initiatives, Diversity Lab
- Buffy Mims, Shook Hardy & Bacon

The welcome reception was a great opportunity for attendees to reconnect with industry friends, make new connections, and toast to the next few days together in Nashville.
