- EPA HFC Technology Transitions Rulemaking
In this program, legal and regulatory experts, Laura McAfee and Nikki Waxman, both of Beveridge & Diamond PC, unpack the implications of the U.S. EPA’s HFC Technology Transitions Rulemaking that is open for public comment through January 30, 2023. The rule carries potential impacts not only for the products that retailers import and sell, but also for the operation and maintenance of existing refrigeration and HVAC equipment in retail stores and DCs. Additionally, there are reporting and recordkeeping requirements which should be reviewed carefully to assess burdens and implementation challenges. During this program, Laura and Nikki walk through the key elements and implications of the rule proposal as well as key questions for input and feedback from retailers that will inform joint retail association comments. The webinar closes with a Q&A session.
