Retail Litigation Center Supports Challenge of Trump Tariffs

The Retail Litigation Center issued the following statement in support of the lawsuit filed by the New Civil Liberties Alliance yesterday challenging universal tariffs:

"The Retail Litigation Center supports the New Civil Liberties Alliance in the lawsuit filed yesterday seeking accountability for overreaches from the executive branch in imposing universal tariffs that will hurt American consumers. As the suit explains, Congress did not give the President the authority to unilaterally enact tariffs that so profoundly affect the economy and Americans’ pocketbooks. Before lasting damage is done to the economy and family budgets, leading retailers support timely judicial review of this abuse of authority from the White House."
