Overview
Many retailers are requiring certain sectors of their workforce to work from home to help slow the spread of COVID-19. While the public health benefits are clear, the legal risks associated with working from home particularly for non-exempt employees can be murky. This summary highlights risks associated with timekeeping and reimbursement of remote work expenses and offers suggestions to mitigate those risks to the extent possible.
